Things to Do in Ballarat with Kids: Sovereign Hill, Wildlife and Family Days

Ballarat is one of Victoria's strongest family day-trip destinations, with a world-class living history attraction in Sovereign Hill and several supporting family experiences. Sovereign Hill on Bradshaw Street is the centrepiece, a recreated gold rush township of the 1850s where children can pan for gold, watch blacksmithing, ride in horse-drawn vehicles and explore underground mine tunnels.
