Ballarat Venues Support Local Running and Fitness Events

The Ballarat Marathon and Running Festival 2026 will take place across two days at Ballarat Town Hall on Saturday 25 April and Sunday 26 April 2026, with distances covering the full marathon of 42.195km, half marathon of 21.1km, 10km, 5km and 1 mile.

Ballarat Town Hall

Ballarat Town Hall serves as the central hub for the Ballarat Marathon and Running Festival 2026. Registrations remain open with Tier 2 pricing available for every distance, including the wheelchair half marathon. This venue provides the base for start and finish operations across the weekend event.

Victoria Park

Victoria Park hosts the Ballarat Duathlon organised by the Ballarat Triathlon Club on Friday 26 September 2025. The same park accommodated the inaugural Ballarat Christmas Fun Run on Sunday 14 December 2025, which offered 13km and 10km courses on fully closed roads. These uses show how Victoria Park supports both competitive duathlon and road-running formats.

Lake Wendouree Gardens

Lake Wendouree Gardens stages the annual Memory Walk & Jog in Ballarat. The next edition is set for 2 May 2026 and provides 2km, 6km and 12km options aimed at family participation and dementia fundraising. The gardens supply a consistent location for shorter, community-focused running activities.

Creswick State Forest

Creswick State Forest is listed as the site for the 2026 Winter Duathlon on Sunday 2 August 2026. This forest location extends the range of off-road options available to participants beyond the city parks and town hall.
