Glenn Ingram’s preview singles out DYNAMITE DANCER as the clear horse to beat in the second event at Ballarat after a sound jumpout on the synthetic surface for the new stable.
The midweek meeting carries extra weight for local punters because it offers the first proper look at several runners returning from spells or switching yards on home soil. Ballarat’s synthetic track has already rewarded horses that jump cleanly and settle in the first half, and this card lines up several that fit that profile.
In the opener, Bull Run is noted for looming before fading at Seymour last time, while Kings Anchor steps up in distance and Lakes Entrance is described as ready to peak. Comic Hero draws the inside in the fourth and is expected to bowl along in front, with Ultra Blue likely to trail the speed. Male Model worked home well at Sandown last start and is now third-up, making him a leading contender in the sixth.
Selections published on the Tabtouch blog give the top four in each race, with suggested bets including a win on DYNAMITE DANCER, a win on THINKYAHOT in the third, and an each-way play on ELEGANT FORCE in the fifth after the horse’s Victorian debut for the new stable.
Watch the market closely for Tubbs Legacy in the fifth, a debutant by Grunt from the Matt Cumani stable that has not trialled on the synthetic. Punters should also monitor the quinella suggestion involving Emperor Tzu and Solder Boi in the seventh, where Kawa is expected to take up the running on a circuit it knows well. The preview closes with Wolf Twenty One as the best bet in the final race on the strength of its placement out of a strong field and proven record on firm going and the polytrack.
Check the Tabtouch site for updated markets before the first race and confirm track conditions on the day.
