Sebastopol holds top spot in Ballarat leagues while Alfredton United posts 9-5 result

Sebastopol leads the Ballarat Football Netball League seniors ladder with 40 points after 12 games, ahead of Darley, Ballarat and North Ballarat on 36 points each.

The positions carry weight because the league fields 11 senior teams and nine junior sides, and points accumulated now shape finals qualification paths for clubs based in the region.

Sebastopol also tops the BFNL senior netball ladder on the same 40-point tally after 12 matches, with the same three clubs tied immediately behind. Biggie Nyuon of Ballarat leads the goalkicking with 46 goals, eight clear of Braedan Kight and Will Johnson on 28 apiece.

In Junior Soccer Winter 2025 Division 6, Alfredton United sits first with nine points after nine matches, including a 9-5 win against Vikings. The 2025 R-League Division 1 table shows North Geelong on 75 points from 13 games while the Ballarat side holds fifth place on 35 points from 11 outings.

Ballarat City FC, competing in State League 1 North-West, recorded a 3-3 draw against FC Clifton Hill in its most recent listed fixture.

Clubs will now focus on maintaining or improving these positions through the remaining scheduled rounds.
