Ballarat City Council handles road, leisure and recreation items in latest meetings

Ballarat City Council endorsed the discontinuance of Ring Road at the rail level crossing in Mitchell Park to support the Intermodal Freight Hub development at the Ballarat West Employment Zone. Infrastructure and facility updates

The council’s action on Ring Road removes an existing level crossing to clear the way for freight operations linked to the Ballarat West Employment Zone. Members also selected Nicholson Construction, described as a local builder, for the Eastwood Leisure Complex work. A separate item set St Patrick’s Point as the location for the toilets, with the $240,000 project listed for funding in the 2026/27 Budget.
