Two spots named on the list sit within 15 minutes of each other. Lake Wendouree offers a 6-kilometre sealed path popular with walkers and cyclists, while the Ballarat Botanical Gardens on Wendouree Parade provides glasshouse displays and sheltered picnic areas. Both lie inside the Lake Wendouree neighbourhood, where on-street parking remains free outside peak event days.
